The Blog Roll Grows ... Welcome!

Welcome to all Guettlers, Shaughnessys, Beaners and other family members. We now have a pretty good number of people signed up to be members of our family blog. Since they're members they can write blog entries, post photos and generally cause trouble around the blog.

You don't have to be a "member" of the blog to read the posts and comment on them, but why not be a member? Members have more fun, heheh. [grinning & chuckling]

So, welcome to Gabe, Mickey, Gerald and El, Edward and Mary Lynne, Laurie, Pat, Marybeth-Nicholas-Oliver-Julian, Kathy & Jerry, Moira-Brian-Justine-Mossman, Chris-Elena-and-girls and last but not least, my sweetie Tim.

It will probably work better if families (those living in the same household) join with just one username, but if you want separate usernames, that's fine too.

If anyone is having trouble posting photos, or wants to know how to do something on the blog, just ask and someone will try to help. Otherwise, it's fairly straightforward and the Blogger help section and Blogger Knowledge section are pretty comprehensive. I was a total newbie to doing anything on the web, especially html and I've learned tons since I started my blog - just from looking around for the answers and experimenting.


So, welcome to all of you. I invited over 50 family members to sign up to our blog. I sure hope we see some of you foot-draggers on the blog soon.

We're planning to do a special project on Feb. 2, 2006 -- Groundhog day - posting a photo (or 2 or 3) of what you see when you get up that day, look out your window, take a walk, whatever. If you don't have a camera to take a photo, then you can draw it or write about it or ____ fill in the blank. No one will be excluded because they don't take photos.

Remember our blog is not a replacement for individual or private emails ... just another fun way to communicate and share our lives with the entire family at one time ...
