Wolf at the office

Saw this wolf and these two sandhill cranes today at the office, Skinner Meadows, one of the NCC sites that I manage. I saw the wolf long enough to shoot about 20 pictures but apparently I wasn't holding the shutter button down long enough. Only one of my shots turned out. The other guy with me had a camera but had just changed from his telephoto to his wide angle so his shots were too far away.

Is that the closest you've come to a wolf Peter? Neat that you could take so many pictures but too bad they didn't turn out. Maybe the sandhill cranes will have a baby/babies? Everything sure looks brown. Eh?

This is the 'fifth' season here in Tatlayoko and it seems to go on forever. But soon enough everything will be so green that the brown is forgotten.

i love the brown colour of these photos...almost monochromatic in feel. i have never seen a wolf or a sandhill crane in the wild. very cool, peter, and nice office!
