Spring and Easter are Sproinging

Easter Spring

This is for everyone, but especially for Marybeth, Nicholas and Oliver because they always make such creative easter eggs and have that tradition of going to Grandma's house to hide and hunt them. Happy Easter to everyone!
Marybeth, have you guys figured out how you're going to decorate your eggs this year? It seems you always try something different. We used to do that too, when the boys were young enough to get into it.
I made these mosaics with other people's photos on flickr and the photo mosaic tool. It's fun and easy. Here's another one with different pics:
If anyone is interested in seeing the large-size, individual photos that make up this mosaic, or seeing even more photos of eggs, bird nests, easter candy ... here is a whole page of eggs and easter photos, collected on my "flickr favorites" pages. When you go to that favorites page or maybe the next one, page 2, just click on any of the small photo thumbnails and it will take you to the original page for that photo.

Really beautiful Maureen. We're planning the 'Annual trip to Grandma's'. This year we're going to plant seeds in my raised beds. Maybe Nicholas and Oliver will come back to harvest it again.
I'm sure they will come back to harvest the veggies! They come to visit you alot, eh?
i am not entirely sure at the moment how we will decorate our eggs this year, but i am thinking it will be one or more of the following: marbelized (which are very easy); stenciled/monogrammed (which are pretty easy, depending on how fancy you want to get); and wax-resist (which are much more complicated, but i've never tried it, and the effect is pretty cool). all of these techniques are shown on the www.marthastewart.com website (i know, i know...but they DO have some good ideas).
maureen, you never answered my query about the spell with flickr: can you import the phrase you create (i.e. happy birthday ben) into another program (like illustrator) in order to make a card? also, how do you post the photo mosaics on the blog after you've created them?
MB, send me an email with your questions. It's easier than trying to keep track of where you asked a question in the comments section of our blog ... and then keeping track of the answers. :)
