A fun way to share our lives with each other... through photos, recipes, events, thoughts, feelings, essays, silliness or seriousness. Everyone welcome to contribute and pitch in as much or little as we want.
These are the eggs we decorated this a.m. for Easter. We did a combination of 3 different techniques, including stencilling, marbelizing and dipping. The eggs are from Adina.
hola, bro! the eggs are marbelized by first dyeing the egg one colour, usually quite light, letting it dry, and then rolling it around in a second dye bath, darker in colour, that has a small amount of olive oil floating on the surface. where the oil touches the egg, the second colour will not take, thereby causing the marbelizing effect. you can look at marthastewartliving.com to find the instructions and some further images of marbelized eggs (as well as some other very nice eggs).

Beautiful eggs, Mum. You'll have to tell me how you 'marbelize' them. I don't know that technique.
