Visiting Pula Colosseum

Here we are in the middle of the best preserved Roman amphitheater in the world. It is located in Pula, Croatia (close to Itlay). It was built close to the beginning of the 1st century. It held almost 25,000 spectators! To be inside this building, walking around where gladiator fights where held thousands of years ago, was truly amazing. Just looking at the stone and trying to imagine how they built it makes you have a lot of respect for these people.

These ruins must be enormous! I'm sure it was very humbling to be standing there amongst those structures and to realize what went on there many years ago. Great pics.

This looks so much like the colliseum in Rome! A very humbling experience for sure. That was probably the highlight of my trip to Europe.
