A custom garden gate to drool over
I just wanted to brag up Tim's artistry on the small garden I have been working on for the last couple of years (off and on) ... this is one of the two gates and an arbor I designed and Tim built. The hinges are of mahogany with stainless steel bolts, and the sliding barn-style latch has a mesquite handle -- wood we brought back from our spring trip to the Utah desert. That little vine is hops - and will eventually be trained to grow over the arbor and along the fence top through the lattice.

Yes Maureen, I'm drooling over that gate! It's soooo beautiful! Somehow this morning I found (from my homepage)the rest of the pics of this garden. Now I don't know how to get there. It's so beautiful and looks very tranquil.

I think on your google homepage, the different flickr accounts for family members are on the tab that says "Flickr" (at least I think I made you a flickr tab) and in one of the sections of that tab, it shows the most recent 5 photos of all your contacts -- that would be where you saw the rest of the photos of this garden. You could also read my blog post, HERE and this post HERE -- and if you scroll down to the bottom of those posts, there are some random photos from my Native Design album about Kay and Ed's garden. If you click on any of those photos, it takes you to the set on Flickr. Tell me if you still have trouble finding the rest of the photos -- there are some interesting before-and-after photos showing how dismal the garden looked before we started working, plus some of my original concept sketches.
I'm off to work on putting the final touches on the garden with Gabe and Natalie. We're installing the urn fountain today.
