The Yellowstone: new furniture
Tim has three new pieces in this years Woodworkers' Guild Exhibit - their second annual show. This is a crummy photo of a really beautiful detail on the hall table Tim made for the show. This piece is like a narrow "shelf" below the table top -- the legs are attached to this piece for extra strength. It is carved of lacewood, to look like the ripples and water movement of the Yellowstone River, which is the title of the piece. The rest of the table is made of curly mango, padauk and mahogany.
To see more photos of this table, and the rocking chair and dining chair Tim also made for the show, click here and it will take you to a slideshow of Tim's new work on his flickr page.
I spent many hours in the last couple of weeks helping the guild put on the show -- making signage, invitations, biographies with photos of all the members, and helping them mount the show so it looks really professional. I'll post some photos in the next few days of the show itself. The opening reception is this coming Friday night, the 10th. We even have live music for the reception - a classical guitarist!

Very very beautiful Tim! Both pieces are so unique and incredible! Good luck on your exhibit. I would like to be there in person.
