New Camera!!
These are some shots taken with our new digital camera (finally!!). We were up on Cypress Mountain last weekend, a beautiful sunny (and hot!) day up above the fog, which you can see shrouding the city below.
Oliver managed to get to almost the top of the groomed trails, a high point for him, and only because he was so excited by the prospect of the ensuing downhill!!
Nicholas is doing a little off-piste, or alpine touring, with his skinny x-country skis...he will try just about anything for the adventure of it!!

yes - great photos. Nicholas would love adventuring off-trail in Yellowstone Park. I used to x country ski there quite a bit (in my more flexible days) I remember one time skiing we had a young wolf running along parallel to us for at least a mile. the wolf kept his/her head turned toward us the entire time. It was an awesome feeling. Most times we would ski in the park, we'd inevitably ski through or very close to herds of elk and bison. And it was always great to come across wildlife tracks in the snow -- so many different kinds of animals and birds in winter! The snow makes the story of their activities much more evident and fun to puzzle out.
