Waiting for the Herring

It's that time of year again, when the schools of herring congregate in our waters. The spotter planes are flying overhead daily, and a few boats are out. Pretty soon the water will be the most beautiful blue and the beaches will be chock-a-block full of seagulls.
Sarah and I walked the rail line down to the new property to see how the seawall was coming along. The las photo shows it under construction. The temperature today is a balmy 12 C. Spring is in the air!!!
