Wondering About Winter On The Land

Does anyone know where the off switch is for the snow?

We have more than our share of snow this winter and are really ready for Spring…which won’t happen until May.

Peter has been plowing snow with the backhoe two or three times a week to keep our driveway clear. A few days ago, shortly after Peter spent a couple of hours plowing the previous night’s snow, the Tatla’ko winds blew up and made 3’ deep drifts which filled in our driveway.

The horses are getting bored with being limited to going up and down the driveway and are wondering why Peter won’t plow all the pastures for them.

There is quite a pile of snow that has slid off the roof in front of the patio. Just a little bit more will give the house a nice igloo effect.

We don’t get a big accumulation of snow here over the winter because the Chinooks blow through fairly regularly and melt the snow right down, but that hasn’t happened this year. It’s going to be quite interesting once it does all melt. We may be offering rafting tours down our driveway.

In the meantime we are getting out as much as possible to play in the snow and enjoy nature's beauty.

Hi Roma and Peter....... the off switch for the snow is located in a little villa on the beach somewhere near Cancun. Hope you find it soon!

Meanwhile, can I interest you in some snowballs?

Has Len Knight been complaining about you clearing the mall parking lot all the time and disturbing the peace?

Have you thrown Pahokee out into one of the drifts yet? I'm sure he would love it!

We have deep drifts in our backyard that Cache loves running through and leveling out while chasing the (insert chase-able item here) all over the backyard, but they're not even close to how deep your snow is!

P.S. Cache's new favorite chase toy is the Kong on the rope. He loves it! I love it to cause it's easy to toss across the yard. I have to be careful not to toss it over the fence though. I did that with a tennis ball and had to go on an awkward rescue mission. The back fence is tall and hard to jump over!
