Whistler's new Peak 2 Peak Gondola Ride

Jerry and I were invited to spend a couple days skiing at Whistler and Blackcomb with our friends Mavis and Walter this past week and along with the lift ticket, you get to ride the newest gondola called Peak 2 Peak. It goes from Whislter Mountain across a valley to Blackcomb Mountain. The ride is 4.4 km long and at it's highest point above the ground it is 436m or 1427 feet. This picture was taken close to the middle above Fitzsimmons Creek. Looking straight down at the trees, it looked like you were looking at a bed of moss. It was definitely worth the ride!

What a spectacular view! How were the snow conditions and the lift line ups?

The snow was pretty good from the top down to about half way, but after that you had to watch out for rocks. The line-ups were bigger on Blackcomb but the most we had to wait was about 5 minutes.
