Tofino Time

We recently spent 10 days on the West Coast, in Tofino, where we did a lot of surfing, wave- jumping, beach-running, tide-pool exploring, fort-building, and general relaxing. We saw a very large and very dead sea-lion on the beach, which was fascinating for the boys...they're a lot furrier than they look when they're in the water, and a lot bigger. Our vacation was very fun, and we had remarkably good weather. The home we rented was not on the beach, but very close by, an easy walk.

In the picture with the rocks and vegetated hill beyond, note the two adirondak chairs up high on an airy platform in the trees...pretty nice place to watch the sunset, or a storm coming in.
