Marshmallows: you can make your own.
All right you guys.... who remembers when marshmallows came in a little box? and do you remember how they had a slightly 'crusty' outside? and inside the box they were stacked neatly with a piece of paper in between? and how they tasted soooo goooodd? If you are under 40, you won't remember this, but everyone else should. So, if you want some of those marshmallows, don't look in the store because you won't find them. The place to look is in your kitchen, because you are going to make them yourself. They are super easy and man o man do they ever taste good. I used my homemade vanilla for flavour but you can also use the store bought. And the best thing is they are square..... perfect for s'mores!
Here is what you need to make MARSHMALLOWS:
water, gelatin, corn syrup, sugar, candy thermometer, mixer, pan for cooking and dish for letting them set up.
Two hints:after they have set up for 12 - 24 hours, sprinkle with icing sugar and use a pair of scissors to cut. Then lay them out on a icing covered cookie sheet and refrigerate for another 24 hours, then put them in an airtight container in the fridge.

I can confirm that these marshmallows are excellent and apparently easy to make (according to Roma). Yummy!
Yummy! Roma brought some for Christmas and I have about 3 left. As you said 'they won't be found in any store'.
