Christmas Day Adventures

Brenda, Bryce and Cache came to Tatlayoko to spend Christmas with Pahokee (and Peter and Roma and Whitty).

Should have worn my long johns.

On Christmas Day we went on an ATV tour on Tatla Lake.
The temperature was -10C, or 14F.

Coyote tracks.

There were lots of tracks on the lake: wolf, coyote, otter, fisher, mink, weasel, moose, deer, ptarmigan and armadillo. Most of the tracks were along the lakeshore, but the wolf and coyote tracks crossed the lake.

Mmm-mmm good!

We stopped about half way down the lake to eat our lunch. The sun sets early in the north in winter as you can see by the long shadows. This was about 1 pm.

We looked at the pictographs on the bluffs on the north side of the lake.

Hang on Peter!

Bryce brought his GT Racer and dragged Peter and Brenda around on it.
It was the Chilcotin equivalent of tubing on Kalamalka Lake. While we were playing the turkey was roasting... so Christmas dinner was ready when we got home.

It sure looks like a lot of fun, fun, fun! Wouldn't those Southerners be jealous! What a cute little Cache! Did Pahokee have to stay at home? Poor Pahokee!

Hi Grandma!
Don't worry about me! I had a great time babysitting Cache at home. We watched Animal Planet together and ate popcorn. It was just too cold for us to go on the lake.
Love,
Pahokee

Pahokee, when is your mom and dad going to give your your own identity on the blog?... it seems you have been posting and making comments quite often (you have gotten really quite good on the computer) so maybe you should sign in under your own name from now on.
