Rounding the Cape

For everyone who is not aware that we are soon to be rounding the cape (Cape Scott, not Cape Horn), this may be the last you hear from us for awhile. Internet service will be non-existent on the west coast until we get close to Tofino and that will probably be at least a week. We are having a great trip so far, and even managed to get through Friday the 13th without a mishap.
Jerry is standing next to a blown down tree on Peer Island. This gives you some idea of the nature of the winds in this area. You can check our blog if you want to see more of our trip so far.
Until next time!

how do you know it wasn't a Cape Bear that pushed it over...did you check for pawprints? i hear they grow pretty big over there!

We have seen several bears, all big and black and but not big enough to push this tree over! But if we do happen to see one that is big enough, we will definitely let you know.
